I'm assuming that you have a 2 zone system, utilizing the third zone for basement heat. Each zone has a separate circulating pump/solenoid valve. Because your zones do work independantly I can only qassume that the pumping/circulating system works fine. The problem is in the control circuitry. If you look in the basement at the HydroHot's controller panel there are a number of LEDs that illuminate to aid in troubleshooting. If the front stops dead whenever the rear is on I'd look at those LEDs. If the zone 1 LED goes out then something is telling that zone to shut down. Odds are it's a thermostat issue although it could possible be bad controller board on the HydroHot.

I'm assuming that you are running on the diesel burner when this happens? If running on electric and you turn on the domestic hot water, the heating system will temporarily shut down to prevent the boiler anti-freeze from getting too cold. I guess it's possible there could be some kind of logic passed to the front zone if too many things are going without enough input energy.

I'd look at the thermostat first, before contacting HydroHot. Actually, if it's an '07 Monaco should be able to diagnose it.

thanks curzer,

you are correct in the zones, my front thermosat runs both exchanges and both work great.. my rear which has zone 1 & 2.. only uses zone 2 for the heat, as zone 1 does not offer furnance, when i switch the zone 2 furnace, the bathroom works only.. there are 2 excange's also in the bedroom, neither one of those are working, and yes while the disel bunner is on, the the bay works fine... i think i will call moanco on monday.. i purchase in dec 06.. so i have a few months left.. thanks

Hey jefflewin, if I read this correctly, I had a similar problem on my '98 Dynasty. My controls are the basic wall mounted thermostat type though (just a contact closure). I found that the rear zone (one of three) would only heat if the center (bathroom) zone was running first. If only the rear kicked the fans on, it only blew cool air. I wasn't smart enough to trace out the problem, so I slaved the relay closing coils together so that when either zone called for heat, both relays closed and the warm air flows.
