AquaHot service

The electric on our AH has stopped working. I verified voltage to the unit and dug a little deeper. Some burnt wiring and probably one or both of the high limit the thermostats are shot. Unfortunately 2 of the wires disappear into the area behind the case between the insulation. I need a specialist. Roger Berke has been helping me on his forum but I am at the point where I could do more damage while attempting a repair. We are heading South from Canada in just over a week. Will be in ND,SD,NE,CO,NM and AZ. Need a GOOD mobile tech that stocks parts. I am awaiting a call from John Carrilo in CO but I see he will be doing repairs at a Newmar rally in Pueblo. If he cannot help me I need a plan B. Can anyone provide a recommendation? Thanks.

I used Lloyd Degerald while at a maintenance session in Indiana. Not sure where he will be next week but seemed like a very knowledgeable guy. He replaced a low fluid sensor on mine while at a campsite.

C&SL: I too thought: WOW I can just stop at Roger's. Unfortunately he is on the West Coast. I might just detour to the Twin Cities. Tom's mobile RV did some quick repairs on our AH back in 2009. Very good tech. If he hasn't left for Florida I will just drive the few extra miles. There are a lot of outfits that claim to be AH service centres but not are not experts. I try and avoid large RV service centers. Usually $130 or more per hour and the quality of the work depends on which tech they assign. Then add in all the extras like 10% for shop supplies!

Yup I know what you are talking about. It all adds up to big $ in the end.

The electric is out on my coach also. I plan to catch Lloyd in Quartzsite, as he is there every year.

Check the AH web site, I think you can locate a dealer there.
