I have been having goobs of electrical problems with my motorhome and wanted to hear from people who have bought and used an autoformer or a buck-boost transformer. How well did it work and was it worth the money?

Thanks Mike

What kind of problems are you having?
Buck-Boost transformers simply allow you to compensate for high or low line voltages by offering different taps for you to use based on the measured voltages. It will not do anything for any 12VDC problems.

I doubt if an autoformer will solve any internal electrical problems in your RV. It's purpose is to protect you fro external power problems, i.e. those coming from the campground power system.

What sort of problem(s) are you trying to fix?

All an Autoformer does is boost line voltage by 10% when it detects low voltage coming into the coach.

If you are throwing breakers on either a 30 or 50 amp service then perhaps you are trying to draw too many amps.

Please provide specifics regarding your problem.
