Awning

Hello everyone I am having a 30ft built it is almost done I have a awning question on their website and videos it shows that the awning is the full length of the Rv when the sales rep sent me pictures as they continue to build it I noticed the awning was only about 13ft so I gave them a call the sales rep looked into it and the guys in the shop said the specs have changed It is being looked into the sales rep said they can put a larger one on there if it was a mistake but now I am worried about the holes that it would leave in the middle of the coach where the support arm is secured they said that it will be no problem fixing it they can fill it in I replied I'm sure I will still be able to see where the marks of the drills went through any opinions comments help me out thank you

It sounds like the manufacturer made the mistake make it plain that
you had better not be able to find to holes or start building another one.

Most of today's RV sidewalls are of sandwich construction. If they will bore out the holes, install metal dress plugs with two part epoxy, I see no reason not to take off the 13 footer and install the correct awning. I know that our 16 foot awning sometimes doesn't feel big enough.

If you feel they can't properly fill the holes and you don't want to kill the build, this may be an option you can live with. Have them install an awning two part zippered sun shade like this:

ShadePro Inc.: Vista Shade for Electric RV Awnings

I added this purely as an example...no affiliation.

Dang, we pay too much for these toys for such mistakes...frustrating!
