Awning doesn't lock in front

I have a carefree eclipse electric awning on 2007 holiday rambler Neptune. It retracts just fine but the front arm is a little loose and not locked like the rear arm is. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance

Replace the motor and endcap with the new updated design. The new motor shaft has two flats instead of one, and has much less chance of the corners being rounded off. Mine (also a 2007 Eclipse model), blew out on me while driving into a high headwind this Feb. Luckily I was'nt along side an 18 wheeler. I had to have my entire awning replaced. The guy who replaced it, said he had never yet replaced one that had blown out on the road, that had the new design motor shaft.

"jetdoc"......sometimes the material shifts a little. If you look carefully, you can often see that one arm is sitting a little to far forward or back. To correct, open the awning, ad then close. As it's closing, put some pressure on the side of the arm that's out of align and push it back into place. This will often realign the arms and make it close properly.

For extra safety, use a velcro strap at the top.
