awning motor

I need help finding a awning motor for my window awning,It's a carefree of colorado awning,the factory said that they discontuined the motor acouple of years ago.
It seems strange that they would that, the coach is a 2004 year model. I have called every place i know of,even ppl who has a large parts dept.
Any ideas folks?

Take the motor out, go to your local auto parts store and see if they can provide one. If they don't have any idea, have them check on auto power window motors. NAPA may be your best bet.

All else failing in locating a motor then check with a electrical motor repair/rebild shop. They normally don't take on such repairs but may be able to convince them tho repair will cost as much as a new motor or maybe more.
