Awning Replacement

Our 13 year old awning has left us.
Decisions, decisions

1. Should we replace it? We only use it two weeks out of the year, but it is nice to have it for those two weeks.

2. What are some good places to purchase the replacement fabric? We think we can round up four friends to assist us. We have a 14" A&E awning.

All thoughts, recommendations are welcome.

Leslie, it seems that most folks on here use either ToughTop Awnings or Stone Vos. I went with Stone Vos because they could match the fabric that came on my MH 13 years ago! I would recommend you talk with both on the phone and make your decision.

Good luck, happy trails, and God bless!

X2 on what Joe said. I can only comment about Stone Vos. Chris is the owner and he is a very involved motorhome owner. He is always looking to improve the quality of his awning materials and uses only the highest quality fabrics and threads.

Here is the web site:

x3 what Joe and Steve advised. Got new toppers from Chris/Stone Vos and they are great. Now I believe they have some sort of new vinyl fabric you might enquire about. Chris owns a Monaco coach and he is always available for help.

Timely thread for me as I need to replace my patio awning material. I had never heard of Stone Vos. I contacted Chris and he quoted me $475 for new material. Sounds fairly inexpensive especially if the quality is as good as it sounds.
