Azdel supplier to replace luan?

Many (not all) new RVs are now being manufactured using azdel instead of luan. The obvious benefits are no more rotting if there is a leak, less likely to have delam, better insulation, limited condensation risk, 50 percent lighter, etc.

2007 was the first model year that it became available.

Example companies:

Forest river (since 2010)
Coachman (since2008)
Winnebago (not all, unsure when they started)

More here: http://azdelonboard.com/

I'm curious as to if it is available for repairs to existing rigs with luan.

Maybe the answer is obvious but I have tried several different web searches and was unable to determine what Azdel is actually made of. Recycled composites are showing up everywhere and it's a good thing but I would still like to know what is in it. (Anyone remember the movie Soylent Green? Now THAT's recycling.)

...ned.

The question is when the new rigs get leaky through lack of maintenance by some - will the delam issues be any less.

Composites Panels comprised of Fiberglass, Polypropylene resin and Polymer Scrim facings

Basically looks like a very thin fiberglass/composite sandwich..
