Balancing sand?

I dug thru my service records, on my new to me Class C, MH.

I found a bill for new, 225 75 R16 tires, installed in 2007.

Please don't lecture me on old tires, they have about 8000 miles on them.

My issue, that seem to be getting worse, is that when I start off driving, in the AM, once I get up to 45 mph or more, the front tires feel like footballs, rolling down the road.

A few minutes or a few bumps later, they almost smooth out.

I suspect the "sand" is "clumping up " while parked. Anybody else experience this?

I'm going to jack up each front wheel, to check the bearing play, since I replaced the calipers, hubs and rotors, last fall. ( always check where the last guy worked )

If all is well, I'm going to take it to a shop to break them down and see inside. With that, I will get a real wheel balance.

When we bought the MH it had "sand" in all the tires. I had a tire shop clean it all out and put in balancing beads!

What brand/model tires? Some tire materials, e.g, nylon, take a set (flat spot) when they sit awhile and do that until they warm up a bit? That's why its not a real popular tire material, but some brands still use it or similar.

Does the invoice show that Equal was used? It's not sand, by the way, but excessive moisture can affect it. And the tires & wheels too. Equal is a polymer (plastic) granule.

The bill said sand, but it looked like small silicone balls. The plastic bags were in there too. It looked like the bags could catch and hold some of the balls.

They were Chaparral-Highway LT225/75 R16, dated 2008 .

Being 8 years old, with 13,000 miles, on the front of a Twin I Beam Ford, there was some funky wear patterns so I had them replaced.

They did a spin balance and all is well.

On the ride to the shop, it rode almost smooth, go figure.
