Has anyone added the Banks Power System to their MH? I have a 2004 Southwind on the W22 chassis. 8.1 Vortec. Have trouble in the mountains towing Jeep Grand Cherokee. Or should I just buy a lighter weight toad?

Installed one on my 95 holiday rambler 32 f53 w/460 and it helped me on the hills and towing a taurus. Following a friend back from upstate ny when he had a problem I got a little over 9 mpg at 45 mph. seems to do the trick with me

I had the Banks system on my 97 Pace Arrow and it was okay.I was pulling my toad as listed below then also.
You might want to call Mike at Brazel's and talk with him about his Ultra Power flash as well as the Banks system.
It maybe that his new Ultra Power program will work better.
His contact numbers are:
360-736-9494 or 877-786-1576

Welcome Nick The Greek to irv2.
You can get more power and better gas mileage with the Brazels Ultra power. The looong thread is down in the Workhorse forum. Its CHEEPER than the Banks sys. I had Banks on two Fords which were ok but no increase in mileage.
Planty of info in WH forum for all kinds of upgrades for your WH.
Enjoy the forums and do post often.

mikeiep welcome to irv2.
The Banks sys will work for the Fords had them on mine. Brazels is working on a chip upgrade for more power and mileage. You can check out the Ford chassis forum below for more info.

Had the Banks installed last year when I needed to replace a cracked manifold on one side and a broken stud on the other. Also got the Trans Command shift kit. Spent 3700.00 but my milage went from 6.5 to 8. Lots more low end torque and acceleration. Pulls hills with less downshifting. Engine and trans both run cooler and no more pinging. I went with Banks because of quality product with lifetime warranty.

We had Banks put on our '89 Bounder and again on our '94 Bounder...both Chevrolet engines. It made a big difference in the gas milage and the towing. We obviously thought it was worth it the second time- because we had it put on the newer Bounder almost immediately.

The one thing I do know is that some of the chip modifications will void the GM warranty - but since you are almost out of their warranty...it should not matter.

PS... WELCOME to IRV2!!
