banks stinger for 94 cummins?

I have been considering the banks stinger system for my 1994 fleetwood pace arrow diesel pusher w/ the cummins 8.3 -250hp motor, and the allison md 3060 trans, according to the info I can find, the trans is rated @ a max of 800 ft pounds of torque,and 300 hp I think the engine puts out about 670 torque. The kit says an additional 175 pounds torque @ the rear wheel, so adding 30% loss through the drive line that would be about an additional 51 pounds, so 226 @ the flywheel, added to the stock 670 , that puts the torque at the tranny around 896. Is this a problem for the md 3060? I have a lot of experience with diesel performance, and the first thing to go when you start tuning on a diesel is the stock tranny, just don't want to go down that road again. Also the tranny has the 4" pan , not the 6". Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Also, I may not be correct as to the factory torque specs of the engine, so if my #'s are wrong, please advise, thanks, Scott

So basicly can the tranny handle 325 hp and close to 900 pounds of torque and still be reliable?

The allison will handle it, but one word of advice..... I would not, if I were you, spend the money on the Banks kit. Contact a local performance shop for diesel trucks or a semi shop and tell them what your desires are with the engine. I believe your engine is the old school ( Non computer controlled) engine, which is VERY easy to modify. You can ramp up the fuel in the injection pump, maybe replaced the injectors and free flowing exhaust, and have exactly wht the Banks kit will give you but several thousand less. Just trying to save you money.

Banks does have nice stuff, but just like Bose music/ speaker systems they have a VERY good marteting system!

Also if you do ANYTHING like this to your engine, a EGT and boost guage is a MUST!!!!
