Barrel Lock Main Door Ring Surround Lost
When put key in lower of the two barrel locks, that the barrel came out totally. It appears that there is a small black ring missing around the perimeter, compared to the upper secondary lock, that I assume is a probable clip in to hold the barrel in place???
Any help on where I can easily get this little guy from, assuming that is what holds it in place?
On another note, but still door handle related, over the years the wear and tear from opening the handle lever outside, has rubbed off a lot of the black finish so looking a little worse for wear. To replace the door handle totally they want C$600+ just for the part, so wondering if there's a suitable hard wearing spray finish or otherwise that could be recommended.
Thanks for the input, especially about that little black ring source, as hoping to avoid replacing the whole barrel and having yet "another key" added.

I'm curious about this black ring you're referring to. Can you take a quick snapshot of where it came off of and post it here?
And what is the brand and model of the lock?

Hey Folks,
Sorry for delay and thanks for the replies. I typically only click on New Posts and this thread with it's replies didn't come up so delved into my statistics and threads started and found your kind responses.
OK, so unfortunately the RV isn't on site here right now - trying to get our Jacks still sorted, did all we could confidently on a personal level, and now sadly gone to Mobile RV Repair guy to see if he can find anything else wrong before ordering a new pump!
Anyway's, here is photo of a similar entry handle barrel lock with the black type washer/clip circling it to keep in place. It's that black bit that appears to have fallen out and we are trying to find a source for. (Will look into the other links provided as well thank you!).

I would remove the lock and see if the lock clip is in the door.Since it is all sealed the clip can't go too far.If you find it and it is broken at least you will know what to look for.

Why not just replace the complete door lock with a new one.
Your chance to upgrade to a keyless, push button style. They are around $125.00 IIRC.

Hmmmm, thanks unplanned. Just was in sticker shock based on quote from local dealer being at $600, but for $125 or thereabouts would gladly do so. Any links to where you'd personally source such that would fit our 2003 Fleetwood Southwind

I'd also agree that since you're having problems with the finish as well as missing that part, I too would just replace the entire assembly.
Just in case, however, does the part you described being a "small black ring" look like the image attached below? If so, you can buy the clip separately from Trimark. The part number is noted at the bottom of the image.
Here is the Trimark catalog (in PDF) if you'd like to take a look through what other parts they have available ... go HERE
According to the catalog, the lock referenced in the link you posted is a T507. As always, I'm going to recommend RVupgrades.com as they are an iRV2 forum sponsor and also founded this forum:
