I'm having a problem with my faucet in the bathroom sink. When I first connect to city water, both hot and cold work fine, and then the pressure appears to drop to nothing. And this is only on the bathroom sink faucet, all others are fine.

This points to a problem with the diverter in the faucet itself, but they feel like they are functioning fine, and I've already had a problem with the faucet in the shower, but it would not shut off completely, and a new faucet fixed that.

If it is a problem with the faucet, I have never seen it cause a problem like I am seeing. Anyone else ever seen anything like this?

Hi Dmiles,
I think you are correct in that there is something wrong with the faucet. The only way to tell is to take it apart.

The aerator might be clogged. There may a piece of debris in the guts of the faucet.

Thanks Gary, going to do just that. Figuring this one out is going to make a neat little weekend project.
