Battery Cut-off Switch Problem

Hello, I have 2007 Monaco Knight. My battery cut off switch seems to shut off DC power to the coach on various occasions. When I check the switch, the red light is still illuminated. I then push the switch, and the power returns. I'm in Alaska and worried that it will shut off permanently one day. Has anyone experienced this type of problem with his or her motorhome? If so, can you share some light on this issue? Does this switch have anything to do with the manual switches in the battery compartment? Everything in the battery compartment seems to be tight. If the switch goes out permanently what are my options? I appreciate your assitance.

Chief Dave...You can find info about how to bypass that switch if you read a post from "DigNBubbs" here... he also has a Monaco Knight.

A couple of other items...

quote by chiefdave:.... Does this switch have anything to do with the manual switches in the battery compartment? Only if you were to turn off the switches in the compartment...this switch works the fuses that are in the back closet area only.

I appreciate your assistance. You are welcome!

Good Luck!

Thanks for everyone's help. We are full-timers, so I'll just by pass the switch.

chiefdave, you need to by-pass the solenoid not the switch by the door.
