They work for awhile, then stop working for some reason. I had them on some cars that I owned, when they quit working I threw them away. I don't use the spray, at least the red sticky stuff because when you have to remove or charge the battery with charger it's hard to clean off. Some people put grease on them, but again, hard to clean. I use baking soda and water and a battery terminal cleaner an regular maintenance.

Proper clean and prep with a reaming type.

Washers because we had them and light electrical grease and 3 years no touch.

Only open to check water and visual inspection.
