Anyone out there know where I can get a new battery strap for two 6-volt batteries?
It is not a real big deal - I have them held down with a bungee, but I would like to use the intended part if possible.
The one I have is nylon with a metal "U" clip on the end. That clip is broken - the strap is OK. Thanks in advance.

Try going here for a selection. Also, if you Google "battery strap", you'll get quite a few merchants that sell them.

Two of my U clips corroded away and I just threaded the strap through the slots that the U clips hooked into.

My strap was gone when we bought ours and never seemed to be a problem. When I replaced the batterys I used a couple heavy duty LONG zip ties in place of a strap.

Saw a reply to a similar question where the guy used a large dog collar to secure the battery. Would probably work.
