Battery supplier near Tampa

Hi All,

I am headed to LazyDays FL in Feb and while there I would lie. To pick up and swap (myself) my house batteries. Anyone have recommendations of suppliers in the area? I have searched some out already but thought I would ask.

Coach Batteries in Tampa Area.

Not too many places/stores carry 6 volt deep cycle batteries (i.e. golf cart). If you use Lazy Days or Camping World - you will get robbed (high prices). I ended up going to an independent store in my area (Farm & Fleet) which had them in stock. But Farm and Fleet is not in Tampa. However, Advance Auto Parts (nation wide) does carry them (group size CG2). In my case, I had to use a couple of adapters (i.e. battery terminal to post), but these are cheap and available there. Check their web site for locations in the Tampa area and price/availability.

Regards
Mark S.

" Battery Plus" carries them. I know they are in Florida.

NAPA Auto has them too.

I bought my 6 volt batteries at Costco.

Keep in mind you must check the water level in the new batteries.

I have never bought a battery anywhere in the last 50 years that had the water up to the split ring that indicates it is full.

One of my ex-neighbors owned a battery place--- Posey Power Batteries.com

I haven't been there, but they have been in business forever.

You can also look at Costco or Sam's Club.

There is a Costco just a few miles south of LD's in Brandon Fl. Also their are numerous golf cart dealer's in the area you might want to check with them on prices sometimes they will get very competitive.

Lots of six volt batteries in golf carts, lots of golf carts in Florida.
You might think about looking for a golf cart place rather than a battery place.

Golf cart batteries: DIY or we do it for you. Just a little north of Lazy Days (mayb25 miles) but real fresh Trojans for just a little more than Costco's/Sam's. Is there a difference? Always thought the others were fine until I bought the Trojans (8 of them) stronger, longer use way less water.

Folks at he shop were great, because I needed eight he said wait two days and I got them right as the pallet came off the Trojan factory truck...just days old.

Just bought 8 new Trojan T105's at I4 Power Equipment in Plant City. Matched an online ad for pricing, batteries were in stock, dated pretty good, great service so they got my business. :dance

Thanks for all the response everyone. Figured there were a few around. I would like to replace with Trojan 105's or larger (I have the height).

What's the going rate on them. Ha e heard 100-150$ a piece that's a big spread.

I checked this out, seems like a great option. Thanks.
