Bay door latch

Have a 2011 Southwind 32V and the plastic catch on the non-lockable gen door has broken. Took the inside metal cover off and found how it hooks to the latch. Bought what looks like a replacement for it from CW,,however it appears the original end plate appears to be riveted to the end of the door. Do I need to drill these out and then screw the new cover on,,,

The head is probably square, or at least mine are. I can't remember what they are called (Probably something like square bit drivers), but I went to Lowe's or Home depot and bought the bit for them.

If they are riveted they will need to be drilled out. Replace with rivets or screws.

Mine screwed out. Does the head look like a screw with a square in the middle of it? If so, it will unscrew. A rivet will have a round head and a round hole, that will need to be drilled out.

X -2 , there is a YouTube video on how to replace pretty simple once you break your first one you buy a spare.

A screw with a square hole is called a Robertson head, very popular in rv's and Canada.
