My 1987 Kountry Aire C Class has a brown rubber(ish) beading around each window. This beading covers the screwheads which hold the window frame in place. I believe someone in the past replaced the original beading. I have searched the threads here on irv2.com and see reference to window beading as being semi stiff and hard to form.
When we bought the rig a box of ~100ft of beading was included. This beading is brown, flexible and soft. Each interior edge of the beading has a channel and lip made to be press fit into the window channel which have the mirror lip and channel.

At issue is this beading does not stay in place but blows off on the road. It is a very loose press fit at best.

I would like to have effective protection for the screwheads, this included beading is not the right stuff; or am I to use some sort of adhesive in conjunction with the press fit?
If this soft flexible beading isn't the right stuff, what is?
Thanks for any help.

Maybe you should call Newmar Parts they maybe able to help.
In your coach you should have a build number that they can use to cross reference what you need and may be able to supply some information on how to place the beading.
Tell them you and another person have 87 C's in good condition and want to keep them that way, per "007"
