Bedroom slide seal problem
Our GT325 has a couple of slide seal problems in the bedroom.
The vertical bulb seal, which seals the bedroom from outside when the slide is deployed, has come unstuck for about 8" at the bottom.
The second problem is with the horizontal wiping seal that works against the bottom face of the slide. The section which should be glued to the threshold of the slider opening has detached from the threshold for about 6" from the aft-most corner of the seal and is also distorted (pulled downwards and inwards) for about 10" along the top of the wiping section that abuts the underside of the slide.
I will get some Aerospace 303 to lubricate the wiping surface. What I need guidance on is what adhesive would be best to reattach the two loose sections of seals.
The vertical section is rubber (or some other elastomer) and a bulb configuration. The flat section is glued to the vertical fiberglas wall inside the bedroom.
The wiper seal is a complicated cross section and appears to be glued to the sill of the slide aperture, with some of the seal on the inside and some on the outside. I suspect that the threshold to which it should be attached is aluminum.
Any guidance as to what adhesives I should use to reattach these seals would be appreciated. The gap in the aft lower corner is big enough for squirrels or other undesirables to get in.
