I have a 2003 Holiday Rambler Neptune, which we love. When driving in medium or heavy rain, there is a low level beeping noise in the front of the MH. Some time ago there was a solution posted in the Holidays magazine, but I can't find it in my "Highly organized" files. There is a circuit or sensor that needs to be waterproofed. I've never heard that sensor at any other time.
If anyone can help, I would be very appreciative.
Thanks
Goebeler

Goebeler,
Welcome to iRV2!
Last May at an HR Diesel Pusher rally there was a lot of discussion about a beep occurring whenever it rained. Some thought it was coming from the low oil sensor while others were convinced it was the low air sensor. You might start with those.
I also did a search here and found an old thread that might help. Let us know what you find to be the problem. Beep-Beep-Beep when it rains with 2004 Diplomat

Goebeler,
Have had this problem since we've owned our 04 Ambassador. Several other Monaco, Holiday Rambler owners have reported this also and its always when its raining or the roadway is wet.
In our experience I have noticed that while driving in rain the beep will start out slowly and very faint and get louder and faster as the conditions worsen. I have also noticed that spray from passing vehicles espcially semi's seems to make it worse.
Obviously there is a sensor someplace that is being faulted out by the moisture. I have tried sealing the oil sending unit terminals on the engine and any other exposed grounds or terminals that I could find. Haven't solved the problem yet although one time in a hard prolonged rain it didn't beep and thought I fixed it. No such luck as it came back the very next trip in the rain.
One other poster said that the automatic step sensor was the culprit so thats my next attempt at fixing this.
If you find out what is causing this then please post your find. I think there are quite a few owners, especially of older units that are experiencing this.
Letsgoagain

I have had an 03,04 and 05 Monaco Knight. the 05 still has the problem but not anywhere near as bad as the 03. Monaco, Elkhart IN made several attempts to fix the problem. Their first stop is the Air pressure Sensors at the Air Tanks. They coat the area from the tank over the sensor with silicone RTV. This did fix it on the 04 but on the 03 they also had to make a sheet-metal shield to keep spray from getting on the alternator. I have my tank sensors coated on the 05 but still have some intermittent failures, different trips? The next thing I am going to do is use Dielectric Grease on the area and then some Rescue Tape to keep it there. Hope this helps. I will let you know how the Grease works but don't wait too long. I try to not drive in the rain!
