Berkey Water Filter?

Anyone using the Berkey water filter system? We are always paranoid about having clean water and this seems like a good system in addition to sanitizing the fresh tank, in line water filter and filter at the coach. Would like an alternative to carrying bottled waters.

We have friends - full-timers who use one faithfully. I think they bought it about 7 years ago. They removed the ice-maker from the frig and use trays instead so they may use filtered water.

We have used a Berkey for years in our sticks and bricks home. When we travel we bring it along in our motorhome. I highly recommend the Berkey. Be sure and also use the fluoride filters.

We met some folks who swore by their Berkey, but when it comes to justifying one, we just can't. Paying $250 for the unit without fluoride filters is pretty steep if it's a fix to a problem that doesn't really exist.
Watching this thread with interest.
