Best engine air filtration

Found this independent test comparing a dozen brands of engine air filters and how well they filter dirt from air. GM Truck Central Air Filter Testing Study .

You are welcome IMDsailor! The huge differences will surprise many. I feel the air filter is the most important filter to reduce wear and increase engine, oil and oil filter life.

if those "snake oil" products are SO great..........why are they NOT available at every auto parts chain? Instead they are sold by snakes/lurkers who run around message boards being sneaky to avoid having to buy a commercial ID

If you are referring to AMSOIL, Donaldson, Wix, Mann, NGK, Mother's, or TRICO, I sell wholesale to NAPA, O'reilly, Advanced Auto and Car Quest and anyone else. Is there one you want me to sell to? Have them contact me. Thank you for your question.

Great info. I am dumping my K&N tomorrow and buying a napa gold. Did a lot of oil testing as a fleet manager. Amsoil does out perform most other oils. Only pays if running really high milage. And then there is Schaffer simi synthetic which is much cheaper and nearly as good. Amsoil 10:1 2 cycle oil is exceptional.
