Best roadside assistance
My friend here says AAA is the best. It seems there are a number of options, but what is most important is reliability and services. We are members on escapees and good sam.

We have used Coach-Net for the past 5 years. They have responded to problems in Homer Ak, with a tow and HUEI pump (major expense) replacement by finding a reputable quality shop. While traveling through Idaho we lost our serpentine belt. Coach-Net found a mobile service (we had the replacement belt) and we were on the road in 1.5 hours. I have contacted them on several occasions with technical problems about the coach and the technician talked me through the solution. They have provided answers to chassis questions and provided contacts for what they could not. We have been very pleased to use them. They have provided help throughout the US and Canada.
Safe travels and THE JOY IS IN THE RIDE

Good Sam or Coach Net. I have GS, used them once for a blow out, did fine. I would not use AAA, they are not always able to provide road service to a big RV.

I'm a big fan of Coachnet. I've used them three times in the past year (air leveling issue, failed hydraulic pump issue and a flat tire). Service was great on all three calls. They are geared to serve the RV community and are familiar with dealing with large coaches. All the technicians they've dispatched were knowledgeable. I wouldn't considering changing.

From the various threads I've read, Coach Net and Good Sam's are the two most popular, though they are not the only two. I have only read of two bad experiences with Coach Net. I can't say the same about Good Sams. People either love them or Hate them. When I made the choice just before we purchased our Bay Star, I went with Coach Net. Luckily, we have not needed to use them yet.

We have been very happy with Coachnet. Towed twice last year, good service each time. As said, others have been happy with Good Sam also.

Roadside assistance protocol
Wondering about personal experiences. We are new Class A owners and ran into a problem requiring roadside assistance. Using the one provided by manufacturer (first year complimentary), we were informed that they cover the first hour but the repair person has a 2-hour minimum requirement.
Looking at the different roadside assistance providers, it sounds as if "one hour covered" is the standard. But I was wondering if anyone knows if a 2-hour minimum is also typical. The 2nd hour charge, if it weren't covered under the warranty, would be $145.00.
Trying to figure out if this is the best we can expect or if there is a roadside assistance provider that would not leave us with a bill.

We have Geico and though we haven't needed it, reports from others put it in the top 3 when it comes to response for bigger RVs. I'd consider CoachNet if I wasn't looking for a complete insurance solution.

I've been with Coach-Net for 6 yrs and I would never switch. Great service, plus they are always courteous on the phone, and manage to get you on the way fast.
