Best Water Pump?
Dry camping this weekend and water pump is acting up, not cycling regularly and low pressure. Going to order new one in case this dies before next trip in a week.
Recommendations please.
Thanks, Tim

I swapped out the factory installed pump in my coach with a Remco Aquajet 55AQUAJET-ARV pump. It is 5.3 gpm with a variable speed pump based on demand. The existing fittings and mounts lined up with the new pump so installation was quick. We get a shower stream that is as good as any we have had when were in a house.

If you get another brand new one for a spare I'd opt to mount the new one while your home and can cover anything that comes up with switching brands, then save your OEM for a spare to change in the field that you know it will work.

X2 on the variable speed pump but you didn't mention the additional benefit of quiet operation. We had one on our previous '95 Trek, but on the new-to-us '99, the PO had attempted a sound insulating mount for the factory pump to reduce the noise. I scrapped this, and installed a variable speed pump. These things are so quiet the pump can barely be heard when a faucet is only partially open. I think both Aquajet and Shurflow make these pumps. Not cheap, but well worth it.

I just install this same Remco water pump. Best pump I have ever owned. Would never go back to Surflo.

Thanks Folks
Went ahead and ordered another ShurFlo as we had to be back on the road again Figured it was the pressure switch and when I jumped it, pump did great. Will install new pump and repair old as a spare.
Thanks for the input. Tim

All set and Working Fine
Put in ShurFlo Revolutin with accumulator tank, Rewired and new tubing. Added additional rubber padding. Much quieter than old arrangement. Also installed replacement pressure switch, tested fine and put away in case needed. Thanks for everyone's input. Tim

I installed the Shurflo Extreme RV series 4gpm pump - works great - can really go through a tank of water quickly ;-)
