Beware of Service/Warranty staff member

DW and I had a very disappointing experience with one particular staff person at Alpinhaus service department, Amsterdam NY.

The positive news is that they were able to fix our slide out in time for us to go on vacation. It was a big job needing to remove slide, order parts, etc. We are so pleased with the work and in particular the service manager Erick. The tech who did the work also great! I cant remember his name I think Joe? What should have been a very happy, successful experience turned into a nightmare.

A young woman, 1st initial "J" in the service department was less than professional in several ways. Upon our arrival she put 3 sheets of paper on the table and stated "here's the deal, sign here, here, and here, and we need a check for 1100.00 dollars. No explanation, no we are so happy we got the job done in time for you to go on vacation, no pleasantries at all. Our complaints (with J) go on and on from there. "J" stated that she has a good friend in the warranty department, therefore she was able to get some parts covered. The warranty clearly states that the parts replaced are a covered item? She likes to make you think that she has done something special for you, and you should be appreciative!

In the end she told us we need to do business with Erick for now on. Her behavior was unbelievable and unacceptable Oh.... we had just spent 95,000 with them at the end of last season.

Please be cautious when working with her. We have found out that many of her co-workers feel she is way too cocky as well. We plan to complain in writing and with a sit down if possible with the supervisors and or owner if possible. We hope to make a change so we or none of you have to deal with this person.

Thanks for letting me vent....

I trust you passed on your comments to the management. Posting your comments here might make you feel better, but will not get "J" counseled or extra training.

I ran into young woman just like that at a dealer. I really wanted to reach over and slap her, but being a nice guy I bit my tounge and walked away. I talked to a tech and he say she the owner's daughter and her father required her to work there all summer before going back to college. All of the techs had been having a hard time with her too.

Thanks for the response. I posted this message in a different forum also. Several people were much less sympathetic. I guess I shouldn't have vented in the forums. My apologies if anyone takes it offensive.

We are meeting with management as they are very interested in hearing how we feel.

Thanks again.
