Bilstein Comfort Shocks

I'm going to replace my old Bilstein shocks, was going to buy Koni, now find that Bilstein have come out with this new shock that's supposed to solve the hard riding that everybody's been complaining about with Bilstein.

From what I can see, the Bilstein Comfort Shock for my coach is about 82.00, and the Koni is about 135.00. I need 8 shocks.

Has anyone tried the new Bilstein Comfort Shocks?

Jim, I didn't save the link, however a coment on the Workhorse Chassis section had a comment that Bilstein supplies the stiff shocks at Workhorse's specs. The regular Bilstein shock were much more comfortable. If you do a search on Koni threads I believe you can find the coments.

O.K. I've already bought the Bilstein comfort shocks. I bit the bullet because I just couldn't face the cost of the Koni shocks.

I was just getting ready to put them on in preparation for our first trip of the year in about two weeks. I started doubting my decision, wondering if I should use them or not.

But, I think I've already answered my own question. I'm changing shocks because the older Bilsteins that are on my coach are as rigid as solid rods. Boy, does that thing ever ride rough!! When I pulled one off, I tried opening it and closing it. I am almost not able to budge it in either direction . I wonder if it's made to want to stay in the center position. The new Bilstein shock is fairly hard to close, and slowly slides to the fully open position on it's own.

So, by side to side comparison, I think it'll work.

I'll know better in two weeks. The road trip is the proof. So in a few weeks, I'll let you know what I think of the new Bilstein shocks.

Note - It's a Monaco and obviously a Roadmaster chassis - See Monaco factory site if additional required.
