I have a new Winnebago Access 29, and birds are pecking away at the rubber joint sealant on the roof. Any preventatives out there?

Don't waste your money on a plastic owl. I have one that even has a rotating head. I have had it setting in the garden for seven years. I have never seen any birds be concerned about it.

wbritton, welcome to iRV2.com. We are glad to have you join us here and look forward to reading of your adventures and experiences. I have experienced this first hand and have seen places where this is a big problem. SOme places have tried putting up netting over the roof of the coaches to try and keep the pests from destroying things. The park rangers would a few times a day choot off a cannon to scare them away for awhile. I even saw one man driving around with a rifle looking for them! Thank goodness that this is only a rare occurance at a minimal number of places we have been. You can always go somewhere else!

The 410 might take off the roof too. Try a .22 LR birdshot. Not much damage to the coach, it will only look like a bird pecked at it
