Has anyone tried the BLS (Battery Life Saver) Claims are very good on their web site. Say will extend the life a battery 3 or 4 times

I had looked at his but decided to buy a Power Pulse unit as it was recommended by others on the Monacoers Yahoo group.

I was more interested in eliminating the need to equalize the batteries which is what it was suppose to do. To equalize you have to follow a specific procedure and takes time and it basically charges at very high voltage for a period of time.

I installed this ~5 months ago so its hard to tell if it works but the cost was minimal and installation was easy.

If your RV has a good 3-stage converter/charger you should need the BLS. And probably nothing is going to help a 3 year old marine type battery that has undergone numerous deep discharges. Sulfating does happen, and sometimes can be reversed, but the combination of quality deep cycle batteries and a good 3-stage charger makes it a rare issue.

I hope you meant you should not need one.

You might look into lithium ion batteries.

Oops! You are right!

If your RV has a good 3-stage converter/charger you should NOT need the BLS.
