How can you tell how or if the recall on the older models have been done? I understand there was a brake recall on the 2003.

An authorized dealer can look it up for you.

fatmanobx, try doing a "search" in these forums. Go to the Find (magnifier glass) icon above, get Advanced find, type in keywords "ZOPS recall" and set the search dates from about 10/03 to the present. You'll get lotsa hits and plenty of info.
The other way to learn about your coach is to log onto the Workhorse website. Have your vin # handy and register your coach; it will tell you about an outstanding recalls.

hi: i have an '04 w20 chassis. after i read the recall problems on the brakes-(on Irv2) i immediatly registered my coach with w/horse. i found a recall re: brakes-inst. cluster & converters on the exhaust system. one phone call to my nearest w/h servicenter and all the items were repaired under warranty. i had to look for myself-so as troth suggests register yours and see what needs to be done or has been done to your unit.
HAPPY HOLIDAYS TO ALL
