Brake switch 1 & 2 failure codes

I get intermittent brake switch failure code for brake pedal switch 1 & 2. ( SID 246 59 & 247 59) Anybody know where those switches are I'd like to replace them if I can get to them.

Bill

If you have air brakes , with a floor mounted pedal , they should be directly under the floor from the pedal on the foot valve .
I had problems with mine , due to corrosion from water off the front wheel and the cruise control wouldn't work in the rain. Even the slightest amount of power conducted through the corrosion would tell the engine ECM to shut off the cruise. Before you replace the switches , I'd try a clean up of the switches and wiring and coat with a waterproof grease, that fixed mine and no problems for 4 years.

Good point about cleaning first, I'll see if I can track them down and clean'em up.

Thanks
Bill

I don't know your coach, but access to my B/L switches was easiest , with the gen set slide out and locked to stop movement then I was able to slide under and sit up in the cavity to work on the switches . Picture was taken from the ground up, just inside the LF wheel, I didn't have the camera when I was in the cavity.
