Brakes - where to go for service

I want to replace the pads on my RV... this is something I considered doing (and may still do) but my time seems limited and the list of maintenance items for the RV long.

Where do you go for brakes? I'm in North Florida for any specifics. I don't know who to trust. Georgie Boy has two RV dealers they refer for service but it seems most of the service they provide is for RV specific items like ACs, Fridge, Etc...

I bought mine last year at NAPA, actually listed under F53, also same as F550. Mine were same parts all around. But check for sure. Online searches sure help with the numbers and applications.

Hardest part is removing the wheels! I just finished rotating my rear tires, and put new on the front. Not that hard if you use a lever to move them around to match up with the lugs!

Any GOOD brake shop can handle it for you. I wouldn't try the average Firestone store of Walmart, though.

Where in north Florida? Walt's Brake in Ocala is an excellent choice (they are RV owners themselves). Josam's in Orlando is another top notch place for any chassis repair.

A Ford dealer could probably handle it too, though some don't want to work on the motorhome chassis.

It's a Chevy P-30 chassis... do they have a similar number?

No Chevy number - they sold out of the RV chassis business in 1998.
