2016 newmar ventana le model 3437 A.B.S. light comes on, transmission light comes on, and over charging, it been back to freightliner, said it was fixed, but it's not, still has the same problem, has anybody had a similar problem, when the icons come on, in the dash,(abs, transmission, & alternator) it goes into the limp mode. usually stopping, shutting the engine off, and restarting it, fixes it for a while.

Sounds like a loose connection somewhere. Start with battery cables and work from there.

Check the ground to the engine management computer.

"DAJ".....We were having some shutdown issues.....as soon as I realized what was happening and trying to react, it would go back to normal. It did this about three times and has been talked about by others with the same issue in the Cummins Forum.

I did two things and haven't had the issue since....unknown if what I did cured it, or it's a coincidence. In your front run bay, bay under the driver's widow, there are several fuses and two black boxes with fuses and relays. One box. which has ignition circuits, has relays only. When I opened it, I found a couple of the relays loosely fitted into their plugs (backing out). I was directed by others to look for this problem. I pushed the relays in tightly and then cut a piece of dense foam, to place under the lid, to keep the relays from backing out again.

I also found the main wiring connection to the right of the engine and tightened the bolt that sandwiches the major connection together. Since then, no more issues. These are two free items to check.

What did Freightliner say they did to it, and what was it that they found wrong before that they thought they fixed it?

I'd be inclined to suspect the engine computer, or cabling to it.

On a freightliner chassis I've worked on... the ECM gets it power directly from the start batteries... in a 14 gauge Red & Black wire that runs in a 3/8" diameter loom directly to the ECM.... in that loom each wire breaks into 2 wires so that 4 pins on the ECM see 12+ and 12- power... on the red wire there is a in line fuse (20 amp) within 6" of the connection at the battery....

On more than one installation I've seen these wires in very bad shape.... damaged from the cables being tightened.... dirt, corrosion, etc... on the last one I looked at... the dash volt meter wouldn't work and the engine wouldn't start... I found a dirty connection at the 12 - (black). Cleaning with a wire brush, some dielectric grease fixed the problem...
