any ideas on how to get a door open? I can pull the latch handle on the inside and outside but the door will not open. I also tried to remove the 3 torx head screws from the inside but i cant get it apart because of the screen door. Also it appears the hindges on the outside are siezed. This is on a 2003 forest river sunseeker. THANKS

Hi!

Is this a second door?
I ask because it sounds like you have access to both the inside and outside...
So I guess you're not trapped on one side or the other!
If it's a "spare door", is it possible that somebody has glued or screwed the door shut for some reason?
I've encountered this before, but with windows...

Francesca

Sorry- I thought you were talking about a "camper", as in "truckcamper!"

Have you tried using the leveling jacks to adjust the body position?
Sometimes it can be slightly "twisted", causing a door or window to "wedge" in the frame...

I am not familiar with your rig but I have a similar problem on my HR. Mine will require completely removing the door to relocate the upper hinge. I have, with a little experimentation, discovered that if I push in on the upper part of the door above the latch, as I operate the latch, it operates as it should. Not looking forward to the repair but it will be done before next spring. Best of luck.

got it open, got the inner and outer pieces split, removed the spring, and used a center punch with a sharp point to slide the locking mechanism sideways
