Came home from a trip today and noticed the cold water line to the hot water tank cracked.. what's the best way to fix it? Where to buy the stuff?

Looks like pex pipe and fittings, you should be able to get parts at home depot or lowes. You will need a crimp tool and crimp rings to repair, or shark bite fittings will do the repair without crimp rings and tool, just depends which way you choose,I carry many fittings of both types on board.shark bite fittings are permanent and easy to use in tight spots, and come in various types like elbows or couplers, etc, hope this helps.

Cut the PEX pipe and elbow off right next to clamp
Get a Sharkbite elbow (Home Depot) or Gatorbite elbow (LOWES) or a FlairFit elbow and repair it

They slip/snap on .....done
No special tools to install, no muss/fuss and work.

X2 on what old-biscuit said...a sharkbite fitting, no crimper needed and it will take longer to read this thread than fix it! I get mine from Home depot - they also stock pex, if you need a new piece. I got a 10' piece, put a 90 elbow on my fresh water drain and ran the drain to the curb side of the trailer, rather than between the the tires on the street side, at finger tip distance. A new toilet...shark bites. A new water heater at home - sharkbites on flex copper. Change out the water heater in an hour.

Oh - you could get a Dremel, cut off the old crimps and just use the 90 sharkbite - done!
