If you're going to custom order, skip the dealers for now. Go set an appointment with Michelle Howard to get all the customs correct. They will then give you a build number that you send to dealers for pricing.

Dealers can't seem to get just how much Newmar can and will do for custom builds. Lots get denied by a dealer, that the factory says no problem to.

Go into the Newmar section on this board and read about how some much some people are having done. All of them will happily talk to you via PM or even on the phone. I personally have talked with several about custom factory builds.

Do yourself a big favor and at least call and talk the Michelle. Your spending a lot of money, get your dream not somebody else's.

I want to rent but find it hard to find companies that rent. Any good ones out there? Other than Cruise America?

Been reading the posts. Very interesting and hope you keep us updated during the initial phases you're currently going through to the outcome. Like you, we'll be purchasing a rig in the price range you're at (just not right now) and while we have tons of camping experience, none with an RV. Would appreciate the updates! Right now our choices are either a Tiffin Allegro Bus or the Entegra Anthem. Just told wife Newmar needs to be reviewed again. Last time we looked at a Newmar was a couple years ago at Hershey. Thinking of going to Tampa this Jan to review everything again.

Don't be like me and keep waiting and over analyzing. Just get one!
