Bypass Kit

Can anyone tell me what a bypass heater kit is and what purpose it may have and why would I need it thank you.

It allows you to bypass your water heater when winterizing the RV with RV antifreeze. Without the kit, you'd need 6-10 gallons of antifreeze to fill up the water heater.

So, have a look at your water heater. It might have one already installed.
