C9 coolant leak

Hi,

I own a 2007 Fleetwood Revolution 40v.

I read a post on a coolant leak from the overflow tube on a C9, way back when...anyway, I'm having a strange issue, every once in a while my coolant will burp out of the overflow tube while driving, it will do it sometimes in the first 50 mikes and won't do it again for another 400 or until the end of the trip, sometimes it might do it twice in a trip and sometimes not at all. Would a head gasket do this or would it be more consistent? I've been filling the coolant level half way on the sight glass, maybe that's too much? And I've just replaced the coolant tank cap, any thoughts?

I would suspect that a sticking thermostat might be your problem. Not sure about a C9 but the C7 has two all withing one housing. Not a difficult job to replace.

C9 coolant leak

Hi,
Thanks for the suggestion, I will have that replaced first thing. Also what do you think about me installing an overflow tank to catch these episodic burps?

Not a bad idea if you can do it and keep it clean. I would consider that if I was loosing a bunch of coolant.
