twinboat.... There are a few suppliers of unfinished custom size/style cabinet doors online, quite reasonably priced. CabinetNow, Cabinetdoorworld, amishcabinetdoor. Some are quite low priced but I know nothing of their quality.
Two years ago I was making a cabinet to match the light oak in our DS. In years past I would have made the door myself, but fulltiming I don't have my shop with me. I checked out the online sources, and ordered the door from Cabinet Now. You select the style of door, style of panel, wood specie, and a couple of other details. They instruct on precisely how they want to measure for size. And they manufacture the door to your specific instructions.
The door was perfect. Dimension, surface sanding, edge radius, assembly joints-- absolutely perfect. I gave it a light touch with 600 paper before finishing, but only because I thought I ought to- not because it needed it! The price was $26 for an approx 17 X 18 oak raised panel door, and about $30 for shipping. It wasn't the cheapest available, but it was likely the best. I'd return to Cabinet Now, and I recommend them unequivocally.
