Camping World Customer Service Kudos

Way back in the spring I had purchased two pair of the Adco tire covers. Well, today was the first time I actually had a need for them as my RV will be sitting with sun exposure for some time. When I opened one of the boxes and went to put the cover on I said wow, that won't fit. In looking at the box I obviously ordered the wrong ones and needed to swap them out. The Camping World in Tampa was the closest to me today so I brought the two boxes in and asked about swapping them out. The woman at the register was incredibly helpful after mentioning a 90 day return policy (it was long past that). She still accepted them as they were still looked brand new. Gave me credit and allowed me to get the proper sized ones. I'm quite pleased with Camping World today.

Carl, I've had the same type experience at our Camping World, and they have always been very helpful even though we've never bought a high dollar item from them. We are members because they seem to have some pretty good deals from time to time. You probably won't get a whole lot of replies as it seems a lot of people don't think too highly of CW, but that hasn't been our experience.

It's enjoyable to read of the good retail experiences.

Which is one of the reasons I posted. That store was big and I could of spent more than I wanted to there easily. I did notice some prices of things that I had purchased at Walmart and the Camping World price was the same (magnetic tow lights). I guess for some their experience is different but I've ordered lots of little items online from them, quick delivery and it's always what I ordered. It was just too dangerous being in the store and seeing it all for real - had to escape!

BTW, the cashier was an RV full-timer, that may have helped.

My experience with CW online has been good. A word of advice: when I get something delivered, I will check it even if I know I will not use it for awhile. Has saved me trouble a time or two.

We always seem to get comments from those experiencing problems. It's refreshing to see a comment from someone with a positive experience. Usually those with positive experiences do not post of them.

I have a Camping World shop only 20 miles from my house and I have worked hard to build a relationship with them due to the convenience. I have generally been satisfied with their service and will return as needed. They have a high turnover of employees, so I meet new service people every time I return. I wish they would do what is necessary to stabilize their staff and I think they would be even more successful, but that is just MHO.

I could be wrong here, but I think most of the complaints about CW has to do with their service department and sales folks.

I've always had a positive experience in my dealings with the store in person and on the internet.
