Can you patch a hole in a carefree awning?

Between March and yesterday, our coach has been sitting idle, except for the regular starts and genset runs to keep the systems up and going on a regular basis. BUT, I never opened the Carefree of Colorado main awning. When I did yesterday, to wash to coach, I discovered a couple of holes made probably by squirrels. The largest is about the size of a baseball, plus there are a couple more much smaller ones around it. My question is, can this kind of awning be patched, or must I buy a whole new cloth part?

I would suspect any upholstery shop could patch it for you;if there's one near you...
Is your awning fabric or vinyl? If vinyl I have a new 20' for alumna-gard .
The two won't interchange on the cover.
This is new & only the vinyl.

You should be able to patch it... I know mine was ripped and taped with awning repair tape before I got it and its still holding..

if you can find the same color, you can sew the patch in..

Awning repair tape is cheap and worth a try first. I got mine at Camping World. I bought it for "just in case" and haven't used it yet. A friend tho has and it is holding well after two years.
