Once my spouse recovers from what will be a 3rd surgery we will consider purchasing. Had they been nice to us we would have gone back but I will never purchase from there or recommend them. I filed with the BBB and attorney general. I'll take them to small claims court. I'm considering contacting the local media to expose them. No, I'm not going to stop $2500 is a lot and what they are doing is wrong.

$2500 is a lot of money to simply let go of without anything in return. I can afford to purchase an RV, however no matter how much money a person has it never feels good when even a $1.00 is thrown away. Perhaps you are independently wealthy and may not care where your money goes. I care, and I care a lot.
Bottom line, the RV dealership did not provide a contract, they provided a purchase price agreement. Nothing in writing regarding cancellation policy or disclaimers or reference to internal policies etc. The GM indicated a refund if the RV was allocated elsewhere, well it is and no refund. Goes to show the caliber of people working there.
Word of mouth travels and reviews speak volumes.

Why was it allocated somewhere else if you ordered it?

Dealer canceled the deal so it went to another dealer that wanted it. Standard business, but now the OP's dealer does owe him the deposit back.

I did speak with the dealer, I begged them to please refund us since the RV had not arrived. The GM said in one of his nasty emails that due to internal policy he was not going to refund us however he was going to make a call to the rep to see if the RV could be allocated to another dealer. He never called me back to I called the manufacturer and they told me it went to another dealer. I have yet to hear from him. The GM and owner are not responding to my attorney.

Here's an update. After several attorney letters, communications from the DE Attorney General and the BBB, I received a full refund. No direct communications from the dealer, however a refund. All of this could have been avoided had they communicated with me in a very genuine and compassionate manner. So my spouse will undergo major back surgery, number 3 and when all goes well we may consider a Newmar Baystar. Still doing our research and will have to travel a ways but appears to be worth it.
