How tall is the loaded canoe? Max height for vehicles is 13'6" and max height for the load is 14'.

I do like the rack. Very professional.

Yes it is a bathroom safety bar. Picked it up at a thrift mall for $10. The rest is just bits and pieces from Lowes. I reused the piece of aluminum rod that used to be the luggage rack as the axle for the roller. Fit perfect through the eye bolts with a bit of filing of the eyes.

I don't think it is taller than that but never measured it. I'll check it next time I have it on which might be a while because I have to do some engine work now.

The rest is 1 1/2 pvc with 1 1/2 to 3/4 bushings with 2 to 3/4bushings on the end. Again these fit the aluminum rod perfectly with just a bit of filing. The rollers are held on by spring clips which allows me to remove the roller easily if necessary.

Basically you just stand the canoe up on its end ( this is the hard part and need help for that) and lean it against the roller. Climb up, grab the end and pull it up. The roller makes it pretty easy to pull up. I have some stainless steel tie downs that I mounted to the roof to tie the canoe down to. You can see them in the foreground of one of the pictures. There are four of them. Very secure when tied down.
