We have just purchased our first RV and right away a small problem. We have a burnt out low beam headlight and it needs to be changed out. My problem is that I do not know the proper way to remove the light, the mount that holds the lights looks as though you must take the whole unit down just to replace one bulb. Obviously, I'm wrong but how do you do it the right way, Ted & Carole 2006 Monaco Camelot.

Are the lights fitted with removable bulbs accessible from the rear?

Open generator door or pull it out (whichever you have) bulbs will turn out from the back side of the lens. About a 1/4 - 1/2 turn. If you really want to improve your lighting, install HID kits. Best upgrade I’ve done on my coach, and customers.

Did I miss what kind of RV this was? My RV requires that I remove the entire housing, replace the bulb and then re-install. Mine is an older coach and I hope your is not such a pain.

With my gasser, I can reach the back of the headlights from either the top through the grill (I need a stool) or by climbing underneath and reaching up.

Once you access the back of the housing, many headlight bulbs today can be removed by turning 1/4 turn.
