CareFree Eclipse Awning Issue

I have a 2006 Beaver Monterrey and the electric side awning, that has a wind sensor unit, that will not extend. When attempting extend I can see the roller make about 1/2 turn and the motor with stop and reverse and retract back the 1/2 turn and then shut off. I removed the motor and tried the switch in extend mode and the motor did the same. The gear moved about 1/2 turn and then reversed and stopped. I tested the motor with my lawn tractor battery and it ran in both directions without issue. I check the voltage at the awning power and it said 13.36 DCV. Plenty of power. I opened the motor and found water. Cleaned and dried to no avail. Why would the motor reverse after 1/2 turn? Talked to CareFree. NO HELP.

Because you have tested the motor and it works in both directions, I would try to eliminate the wind sensor part. I have a switch that I can turn my wind sensor off.

Look for the electrical box for the awning, mine is located in the front bay, there is a toggle switch on the side for turning off the wind sensor.

Did you test the coach battery connection at the motor while trying to move the awning. That is test the voltage with load on it. A voltage reading without a load doesn't mean much.
