Looking for someone to re carpet our 2000 double slide Dutchstar.

We are near toledo and willing to travel a few hours to get it done correctly.

Any suggestions.

Welcome dobrien to irv2.
Have you checked with a good carpet laying outfit. Let them take a look at the job to be done. The carpets are stapled down in our coachs and do not use tacking strips. Near the slides they can lift carpet on slide the bedroom will be a harder to do with bed in place never had to change the carpet in bedroom may have to remove frame box for bed.
Come on down to Newmar forum and join in. You are also near Newmar factory during winter months they have discounts of labor Jan- Mar could get a price from them.
Enjoy the forums and post often.
I'm going to short cut you to N Forum and new member maybe we will some more info for you.

Dobrien,
welcome to irv2
I agree with 007, check with a good carpet layer. We replaced the carpeting in our last RV. We had asked around a few RV places if they knew of anyone that did RV's and were directed to a place nearby. They did a great job in a fairly short time frame

Hi Dibrien,

You may have noticed that recents RVs have a combination of carpet and laminates on the floor. I redid the floor on our Airstream last fall, using a light green laminate with a slate finish. It is a Dupont product, expensive but it looks expensive too.It looks great with the beige and green upholstery. The old carpet was a mess and a dust trap.

The worst part of the job is the removal of the old carpet, lots of cutting around the cabinets. But we are very happy with the result.

Regards,
Remi
