CCI Controls Propane Detector Model 7719

Does any one gave the owners/Instalation Manual for the CCI Model 7719 Propane Detector Alarm? I need a wiring diagram for it and I am told the company is out of business. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.

Is that the 3-wire model, where one wire goes to a gas shut-off valve and the other two to 12v +& 1? I've read that the control line to the gas valve is 9v rather than 12v. See this earlier thread on replacing the 7719:

Yes, it is the 3 wire model. I am trying to figure out how my system is hooked up as they are using only two of the wires and I do not know what is controlling the solenoid valve. It does close the valve when the unit goes into alarm as I found out chasing bad grounds.

Thank you.

Beats me. I always thought one of the wires went to the valve, but I guess not. I just replaced a 3 wire CCi with a two wire model (all I could find, now that CCI is gone) and everything continues to work fine. But I don't seem to have a gas shutoff valve in mine.

I have an additional question about the detector. Does the orange wire going to the solenoid valve have a constant voltage. Is it set to kill power to the valve if gas is detected? I have a constant 12v at the solenoid.

I think the line to the valve stays hot to keep the valve open. If it voltage falls, the valve closes and no gas.

CCI detector

Whoever had the truck before took the solenoid valve out of the system. I think I have a problem because even with the switch on the detector in the off position there is still power to the coil. I know that constant voltage on the coil would eventually burn it out. Just wanted to be sure I had my ducks in a row before I shelled out $200 for another detector if I can find one. Anyone know of another brand that I can replace my CCI detector with.

Thanks

Some detectors have a 3 wire input - one hot from the chassis battery, one hot from the engine battery, and (of course) ground. Have you tried CW for a replacement? May be way overpriced, but if you can't find another . . . .

I had one of the CCI models with three wires, which are as nbounder describes. I replace it with a two wire model. Neither one operated a gas valve.
