On some vehicles, depressing the accelerator fully three times with the ignition in the on position will reset the oil change reminder. Not too sure about yours but give it a try.

These sort of lights are typically mileage based. Whoever changed it last didn't reset it.

If your MH has a computer that tells you when to change oil, you have to reset it when you change your oil. Check your chassis owners manual for specific instructions for your engine/chassis. It will likely be in the same section as changing your engine oil.
As Bob said, you might have to do something like turn on your ignition then press the accelorator three times. On my Chevy powered MH, I simply select the oil change indication then press the RESET button. Good luck.

My MH has a computer screen that flashes a signal at specific intervals for certain maintenance items. If this is where the indicator is, you should have a manual to tell you how to reset it.

On Workhorse chassis the oil change reminder message is "reset" by pressing the accelerator pedal fully to the floor three (3) times RAPIDLY (within 5 seconds, I think) while the key is in the ON position, but without the motor running. The mesg. "should" flash and then disappear. Don't forget to turn the key switch back OFF after the proceedure is completed.

I have a 2002 Itasca Suncruiser. There is nothing in the manual referring to a Mesg. I assume my rig is too old for this. I have 85,000 miles (wonderful miles, I might add) so do I have to put it in the junk pile or am I missing something? I know there are parks that refuse rigs 10+ years olf but I have never been questioned.

Happened to me too.. I had the oil changed and the technician forgot a step.. Resetting the oil life counter
If it is a GM Engine.. Starting with engine off.
Turn key to ON position (DO NOT START) press accelerator all the way to the floor 3 times fairly quickly (like press 1 sec, release 1 sec, repeat, repeat) then turn it off, wait 10 sec, (I do not know if this is needed) and re-start. message should be history.

hamguy: I guess I should have posted "on Workhorse chassis that HAVE this feature...."
Perhaps yours is a P32???
If you've never seen the Oil Change Reminder, I guessing you don't have it, or your mechanic is very through!
Naw, I would not "put it in the junk pile"

I must not have it, I guess. It is the W22 chassis. But I am thankful I don't have to give it to the junk yard.

Well, if you DO decide to give it to the junk yard, lemme know, I'd like to announce the grand opening of the "Ramblin Junkyard".
