Chassis batteries

It would appear that I have to replace my chassis batteries, bad cell and bulging. Any recommendations out there on chassis batteries?

Stay away from those manufactured offshore. Other than that, most lead acid batteries come out of just a couple plants, so don't put too much into the differences between an Interstate and one from your local auto parts store. Chassis batteries usually don't have a tough life, unlike our house batteries.

I use AC Delco for the chassis batteries. When it comes to batteries, size matters. Consider getting the largest battery that will fit in the space available.

I use a Lifeline AGM. 10 years old and still fine.

I replaced my Interstates w/Costco golf cart batteries @ 80.00/ea! Interstates were 135/ea.

You get what you pay for! Yes, there are only a couple of companies that make batteries, but they're not all the same. They offer different brands at different prices to capture the market, but their off brand batteries don't have the same components as their premium batteries do.

If the doctor asked what battery you wanted in your pacemaker, would you select a Duracel or a Kirkland.

I want take the best rated battery if I can afford it. But if it cost 4 times (AGM) the amount of the (wet cell) cheaper battery and only last a little bit longer. I will take the cheaper one.
