I Have the Choice Protection for my extended warranty. They have declined my claim and I have been trying to contact a supervisor to explain the problem. I have left over 10 messages and have yet to receive a call back. Has anyone else dealt with this company.

You have one post here, welcome. I have it.

Don't know your situation, but all my coverages for my coach aren't finished with the Manufacturer yet. I did call them before I went to my manufacturere for some issues and they were helpful, didn't see a claim go through though.

What was the issue?

We had it for five years and had no problems with them. It was a few years ago so not sure how they are now.

Sounds about normal for a service policy (they're not a "warranty").

What year is your MH? You can always write them, certified mail/return receipt requested. Read the bottom of your contract with a magnifying glass and see who is/are the underlying insurance companies mentioned. Write and call them, directly.

We need more info to help you.

File a complaint with the BBB. When I've done so in the past, it "woke up" the companies I was having problems with ignoring me and they started paying attention.

Just for giggles, what is the claim for?

I had 2 bad experiences with American Guardian, first problem was denied due to clever contract writing. They will repair "lines" but not "hoses", so a split leveler jack "hose" was denied! 2nd the back up camera was obsolete, no longer available from the MFG, so they would only pay for the portion that was bad, not a replacement. Was cheaper to actually replace the hose and the camera system myself than to have the dealer do the repairs under this contract! After that, I wrote the company demanding a refund on the balance of the contract! Crooks for sure. And they too were terrible in getting back to me
If the claim was denied, I'm sure they will eventually point out something in the exclusion section that will justify. (I think the exclusion section just about nulls all that is in the covered section in some fashion....hahaha)

I also have The Choice Protection Plan. My first attempt at using them resulted in a denial of the claim. I had a broken spring shackle for one of the rear springs. They denied the claim on the basis that a Shackle was a "fastener" and therefore not covered. Come on... A shackle bolt is a fastener, the spring shackle is part of the suspension system. No joy however in getting the repair covered.

I currently have my rig in at an authorized Cummins/Onan service center awaiting repairs to my generator. I have a failed fuel injector on the diesel engine of the gen set. They of course are dragging their feet. Their first tactic was to demand service records. I submitted them to them and am awaiting a review. I'm not holding out much hope. I'm sure they will next claim that the injectors are not covered.

I should have never negotiated this contract as being part of the purchase of my rig.

Does your local TV stations have a spot to air gripes from wronged consumers?

Write your TX Attorney General's consumer fraud division with a copy to Choice Protection.

Read the last page of the contract to find who are the related insurance companies backing the contract. Write them.

I tried the Better Business Bureau in the case of Good Sam ESP, with a similar stretched denial.

It did no good.

Best of luck.

Thanks for this thread. I am looking to purchase a new rig and will stir clear of Choice Protection.
